Roller Shutters with plastic curtain

Plastic roller shutters have 3 types. Roller shutters with external shutter box, with plaster-base shutter box, and traditional roller shutter with internal shutter box. The roller shutter with plastic curtain and with external shutter box is the most popular type because it has a good thermal insulation feature, darkens well, and last but not least it is the cheapest type among roller shutters.

The most of its components are made of plastic except for the shutter box (powder-painted aluminium) and the shaft (steel). The plastic guide rails are supplied with noise reducing gums. The version with shutter box to be plastered up differs as far as its shutter box is invisible from outside. In the case of the traditional roller shutter with internal shutter box only the material of the guide rail is different. The roller shutter may be replaced both with mounting an old or a new box, or mounting a new one. They may be driven both manually and electrically. The mechanic winding up operates with pull-cord.

The pull-cord is wound up by a so called automatic driver mounted on or cut in the wall. In the case of an electric driver the roller shutter is operated through a wall switch or a remote controller. The mounting of the above roller shutters takes cca. 20-30 minutes per piece, in case of electrician work this may vary.
